The Founder

Dr SHAMILA MORTHI

Dr Shamila is the founder of The Education Arc for Learning Skills (TEALS) and developer and coordinator of the TEALS Program, a learning system that gives students the ability to exponentially improve their results in examinations.

She teaches students memory techniques and in-depth study strategies, examination preparation, stress management, and how to focus in the pressure-filled atmosphere of the examination hall.

She graduated in 2004 from medical school and subsequently practised medicine in various fields including psychiatry for a few years. In 2007, she commenced and completed her Master’s in International Development from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).

It was during her tertiary education that she first conceptualised the system of engaging both sides of her brain and this skill assisted her to retain more in a shorter time span and her retention power also lasted longer compared to mere rote learning.

Through this form of trial and error, Dr Shamila honed her skills in the art of effective learning by easily and swiftly retrieving information and she then successfully developed this system into what is now the revolutionary TEALS Program.

Dr. Shamila wants to impart her knowledge to students to assist them to study effectively and score high grades in examinations.
